These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you ("you", "User") and Hocnex Tech ("Hocnex Tech", "we", "us", "our"), the operator of DveoC (the "Service" or "DveoC"), governing your access to and use of the DveoC desktop application, the website at dveoc.hocnex.com, and any related services (together, the "Platform"). By creating an account, purchasing an access key, downloading, installing, or using DveoC in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install, access, or use the Platform.
Hocnex Tech is a technology company that designs and builds digital solutions across fintech, artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure, and custom software development. Hocnex Tech develops secure, scalable products that help individuals and businesses simplify payments, automate processes, and accelerate digital transformation. DveoC is a software product built and operated by Hocnex Tech.
You accept these Terms by taking any of the following actions: checking the acceptance box during purchase or installation, purchasing an access key, installing the DveoC application, or otherwise accessing or using the Platform. If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization, and "you" refers to that organization as well as yourself individually.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract in your jurisdiction to purchase an access key or use DveoC. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements and that all information you provide (name, email, country, and any other registration details) is accurate, current, and complete.
DveoC is a desktop application that allows a user to route an imported video file's picture and audio through a virtual camera and virtual microphone device on their own computer, so that other applications selected by the user (such as video-calling or streaming software) can use that output as a camera/microphone input. DveoC does not intercept, record, transmit, or have any access to calls, meetings, or communications you conduct using third-party applications; it only supplies a virtual camera/microphone signal that the operating system exposes to whatever application you choose to point at it.
DveoC is licensed, not sold, through a paid access key issued after a one-time purchase on dveoc.hocnex.com. The access key constitutes your account identifier. Specific rules governing access keys:
Access keys are sold on a one-time payment basis through our payment processor. All payment processing, currency, and pricing information is presented and handled exclusively on dveoc.hocnex.com at the time of purchase — the DveoC desktop application itself never displays or collects payment information. Except where required by applicable law, all purchases are final and non-refundable once an access key has been issued. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support@hocnex.com within 7 days of purchase.
You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
You expressly agree not to use DveoC for any fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal activity, including but not limited to: impersonating another person without their knowledge and consent in a video call or communication for the purpose of deception, fraud, or harm; circumventing identity-verification systems (including "liveness" or video-verification checks) of any third party; facilitating scams, catfishing, or financial fraud; creating or distributing content that infringes the rights of others; or any use that violates applicable law in your jurisdiction or the jurisdiction of any person you interact with using the Platform.
DveoC is designed to interoperate with third-party software (for example, video-calling, streaming, or virtual-device driver software such as OBS Virtual Camera, v4l2loopback, or virtual audio cable drivers) that you separately obtain, install, and agree to use under their own respective terms. Hocnex Tech does not own, control, or accept responsibility for any third-party software, and your use of such software is governed solely by the terms and policies of its respective provider.
The Platform, including the DveoC application, website, logos, trademarks ("DveoC", "Hocnex Tech", and associated marks), source code, design, and documentation, is the exclusive property of Hocnex Tech and its licensors, and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Subject to your compliance with these Terms and a valid, unexpired access key, Hocnex Tech grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the DveoC application on one device at a time for your personal or internal business purposes. No other rights are granted.
Video files you import into DveoC remain your sole property and responsibility. Hocnex Tech does not access, upload, store, or transmit the content of videos you import into DveoC — video processing occurs locally on your own device. You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to any video content you use with DveoC, and that such use does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party.
We collect the account information necessary to operate the Platform: full name, email address, country, purchase and expiry dates, and device/session records associated with your access key (see Section 13). This information is stored on our infrastructure (Firebase Realtime Database, access-restricted to our servers only) and used to operate, secure, and support the Service, including sending transactional emails (access key delivery, account activation, and device-session notifications) via our email provider. We do not display, request, or store payment card details on our servers — payment is processed entirely by our third-party payment processor. We do not sell your personal information.
To enforce the single-device licensing model described in Section 5, DveoC records login/logout events, device identifiers, device names, IP addresses, and general application activity (such as application launch, video import, and virtual camera start/stop events) associated with your access key. This activity log exists to secure your account, enforce licensing, and provide support — it is not used for advertising and is not shared with third parties except as required by law.
We may suspend or revoke your access key, without refund, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms — in particular Sections 7 and 8 — or if required to do so by law. You may stop using DveoC at any time by allowing your access key to expire and not renewing it. Sections which by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 10, 15, 16, 17, and 20) will survive.
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPATIBLE WITH EVERY THIRD-PARTY APPLICATION, OPERATING SYSTEM, OR HARDWARE CONFIGURATION.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HOCNEX TECH AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE PLATFORM — INCLUDING ANY CONSEQUENCES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF DVEOC WITH THIRD-PARTY APPLICATIONS. IN ALL CASES, HOCNEX TECH'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR YOUR ACCESS KEY IN THE SIX (6) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Hocnex Tech and its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: your use or misuse of the Platform; your violation of these Terms; your violation of any applicable law; or your infringement of any third-party right, including through content you import into or produce with DveoC.
You represent that you are not located in, under the control of, or a national or resident of any country or region subject to comprehensive trade sanctions, and that you are not on any government restricted-party list that would prohibit your receipt or use of the Platform. You agree to comply with all applicable export control and sanctions laws.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria, unless otherwise required by applicable local consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of that right. These Terms, together with any policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Hocnex Tech regarding the Platform, and supersede any prior agreements.
